Meet the Principal
Greetings! I am Serran Aaron. I am an early childhood graduate from Georgia Southern University. I started my career as a 4th-grade teacher in Liberty County. Life happens and I had twin daughters and 19 months later another little girl. We knew we wanted to be near family with children, so I interviewed for a teaching position at Oak Visita Elementary School. Dr. Danna Lewis allowed me to work with Mrs. Carletha Davis in a 4th-grade position. After several years, Dr. Lewis encouraged me to apply for an instructional coach position. With that encouragement and the additional education, I received while earning my master’s in leadership at Georgia Southern University, I knew I wanted to fly higher. I later became the assistant principal, serving at several schools in Wayne County-Martha Rawls Smith, Martha Puckett Middle School, and James E. Bacon. It is with a humble heart and a spirit of service that I come as principal of the Odum Elementary community. There have been many who impacted me along this twenty-six-year journey; I am blessed to have this opportunity to bring the best of each experience to Odum Elementary.
With a grateful heart,
Serran Aaron
