Assistant Principals
Dr. Felicia Hayes
My name is Felicia Hayes, and I am excited to be an Assistant Principal at Wayne County High School. I have over twenty years of experience in the Wayne County School System. My educational experience includes a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a concentration in Secondary Education, Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate Degree in Instructional Leadership. I believe that a quality education is an important key to unlocking the dreams of all students. It is my duty as an educator to ensure that students are giving this opportunity to unlock a wealth of learning and strive to reach all of their educational dreams and goals.
Mr. Patrick Edwards
Mr. Patrick Edwards is a native of Tattnall County and he is an Assistant Principal and CTAE Director here at Wayne County High . He has 21 years of experience in education as a paraprofessional, middle grades classroom teacher, special education teacher, physical education teacher, coach, and administrator. He is a graduate of Pinewood Christian Academy. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Brewton Parker College and a Master of Education from Troy University. He has two Ed. Specialist degrees from Valdosta State University in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as, Educational Leadership.
Mr. Edwards is married to Tammy O’Donnell Edwards and has 4 children. Thomas (18) attends Georgia Southern University and Dawson (17) attends Tattnall County High School. Trace (9) and Lana (6) attend Jesup Elementary and are active in soccer, track, baton, and dance.
Dr. Craig Davis
Dr. Davis is the Director of the Wayne County Alternative High School.
Mrs. Amanda Phelps
Mrs. Amanda Phelps currently serves as Assistant Principal at Wayne County High School. She graduated from Bainbridge High School and earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Valdosta State University. She holds a Master of Education degree from Armstrong Atlantic State University with a Reading Endorsement as well as a certification in Gifted Education. She received her Tier I Leadership Certification from Georgia Southern University while her Tier II Leadership Certification and Education Specialist Degree were obtained from her original collegiate alma mater, Valdosta State University.
Mrs. Phelps has sixteen years of experience both as a classroom teacher and instructional coach before serving in her current role. She enjoys reading, jogging, hiking, and being outdoors. She resides in Jesup with her husband, Brant Phelps. They are blessed with two children, Reilly and Reagan, who love camping and spending time with their family.
Mr. Grayson Yeomans
Mr. Grayson Yeomans is beginning his first year as an Assistant Principal at Wayne County High School. He served the prior six years as a general education and special education teacher for Glynn County Schools in Brunswick, GA. He also served as an assistant coach for the varsity baseball team at Brunswick High School during his time with Glynn County. Mr. Yeomans graduated from Ware County High School in 2013 and attended Brewton-Parker College, where he played baseball and graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades education. He holds a master’s degree in education from Liberty University and a Specialist degree from Kennesaw State University. This is Mr. Yeomans’ 7th year in education and first in leadership.
Mr. Yeomans resides in Brunswick, GA, with his wife, Elyssa, a teacher in Glynn County. They have two sons, Hudson, who is 2 years old, and Tucker, who is 3 months old. Away from school, Mr. Yeomans enjoys going to the beach, traveling, and spending time at home with his family.
