Angela Thornton graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, with a Bachelor of Arts in English. After working in social work with children, the disabled, and the aging populations, Angela returned to school and received a Master of Arts in Teaching in English Education and an Education Specialist in English Education. Over the past thirteen years, Angela has worked with students spanning middle school through college age. She has a Masters in Clinical Counseling from the Townsend Institute at Concordia University – Irvine. Angela is EMDR trained and working toward professional licensure.

Angela enjoys working with teenagers to explore their unique gifts and talents that help inform their decisions about their future. She looks forward to using her experience as a collegiate academic advisor to help prepare the senior class for graduation and beyond. 

 Angela is a voracious reader, and she prefers British Literature in the literary canon. She loves to travel around the world and experience new cultures. Past favorites include Israel, Italy, Spain, England, and Venezuela. Her current dream trip is to New Zealand and Australia.
