On Monday, October 7, the Wayne County Yellow Jacket football team played the Perry High School Panthers in Perry. The game was originally scheduled to be in Jesup but had to be moved to Perry due to damage from Hurricane Helene in Wayne County. In a show of support and friendship, Perry High School donated a trailer full of supplies to Wayne County to aid in storm recovery. Pictured here, from left to right, are Jana Collins (WC Asst. Superintendent), Toni Williams (WC Interim Superintendent), Wesley "Del" Martin (Perry HS Principal), Justin McDonald (WC Athletic Director), and Dr. Brett McDaniel (WCHS Principal). Many thanks to Perry High School for their assistance during this recovery time.
