OES celebrated our teachers by gifting a small gift to each teacher. Also, we celebrated Mrs. Becky Scott, a third-grade teacher, for being voted the Teacher of the Year by her peers! OES loves our teachers!!!!

To: Parents of Pre-K Students in SY23-24
The State of Georgia has made some changes to Pre-K class sizes for the upcoming school year. The maximum number of students for each homeroom class will be 20 students. Please understand that this is a state decision, not a local one. This may potentially impact the number of classes we are able to offer at each school as well as the number of students who are placed on waiting lists. We will do our very best to ensure that all children applying for Pre-K have the opportunity to participate. Pre-K registration remains open through April 30. Mrs. Danielle's third-grade class was excited to visit the media center and listen to a story read by Dr. Burgess during Read Across America Week. The students also learned that Dr. Burgess is an author, and he shared a chapter from his book.
