Cary Yarbrough

Cary Yarbrough represents District 1 on the Wayne County Board of Education.  He is a 2004 graduate of Wayne County High School.  Cary attended St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA.

Bruce

Chairman of the Board, Bruce Harris, represents District 2 on the Wayne County Board of Education. He is a 1977 graduate of Wayne County High School. Bruce attended Waycross/ Ware Technical College, receiving a Welding diploma. He, in turn, taught Welding at Wayne County High School for 30 years, from which he retired. He is the Music Director at Calvary Baptist Church in Jesup, where he has held that position for 21 years. He enjoyed teaching and has fond memories of those times together with his students. He loves helping people and being a member of the Board of Education. "Call unto me, and I will answer thee and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not." - Jeremiah 33:3

Todd Wise

Todd Wise serves District 3 for the citizens of Wayne County. Mr. Wise graduated High School in South Carolina and attended The University of South Carolina. Mr. Wise served six years in the U.S. Army Reserved, 11 years with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, and 15 years with The United States Department of Homeland Security. Mr. Wise looks forward to serving Wayne County with the highest regard for education and the success of all students.

Sheron

Ms. Sheron E. Jones-Daniel is the daughter of the late Janie Mae Williams and Lewis Nathaniel Jones. She is the mother of Mr. Eric L. Daniel and Mr. Howard N. Daniel. She has one grandson, Taylor Daniel. Sheron represents District 4.

Sheron is affectionately known by her friends, classmates, and longtime community members as "Shag." She is a 1983 graduate of Wayne County High School and has that Yellow Jacket Pride that she cannot hide. Sheron attended North Georgia College in Dahlonega, Georgia, and majored in Health & Physical Education. She graduated in 1987 and received a Bachelor of Science degree. In 2001, she continued to further her education and attended Cambridge College, where she received her Master of Education degree in 2001.

In 2018, Sheron retired as an educator and a coach after 31 years of influencing and molding students' lives from kindergarten to high school. She coached softball, basketball, and track as both a head coach and an assistant coach. She continues to work with the youth as an assistant basketball coach for the Bradwell Institute Lady Tigers. Sheron is also a member of the Wayne County and Georgia Retired Teachers Associations.

In March 2016, Sheron was officially installed as the District 4 School Board Representative. She has served the Wayne County students as a board member for six years. During her tenure as a Wayne County School Board Representative, Sheron has served on several GSBA committees, including a GSBA Delegate, a member of the Governmental Operations Committee, and the District 8 Representative for the GSBA Nominating Selection Committee. Sheron is a member of Bennett Union Missionary Baptist Church in Jesup, where she serves as the Media & Sound Director. She enjoys volunteering and giving back to the community through her service as a Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wayne County, Inc. She is also a member of the Wayne County Chapter of the NAACP. Sheron believes it is the job of educators to educate the "WHOLE" child. We have been charged to build and nurture a challenging educational environment that creates accountable, independently successful, and confident students regardless of their chosen pathway. Tina Moseley

Vice Chairman, Tina Moseley represents District 5 of the Wayne County Board of Education. Mrs. Moseley graduated from Wayne County High School and later graduated from Georgia Southern University. She holds an Education Specialist Degree in English and Educational Leadership. For more than 30 years, Mrs. Moseley served the Wayne County School System in various roles. She taught middle school, coached cheerleading, sponsored a variety of clubs, and served as an Instructional Coach, WCHS Assistant Principal, Human Resources Director, and Chief Operations Officer. She has dedicated most of her life to education, and her goal is to work with the other board members to make the best decisions for students, teachers, and all school system employees. “Education is not the filling of a pail but the lighting of a fire.” –William Butler Yeats
